Jill began her career as an artist commissioning pencil portraits and drawings part-time when she moved to Winnipeg at an early age. Taking various drawing classes she proceeded to explore a variety of mediums starting with watercolor, pastels, then later discovering oils and airbrushed acrylics. She continued her studies with a wide-range of art history, mainly focusing towards the masters and their techniques. Jill was presented an award in 2005 for one of her acrylic paintings that was a period of her historical collection. Jill has her work displayed in various galleries and is now housed in many homes/businesses across Canada.
She has also achieved many successful art shows throughout her career and will continue to have many more in the upcoming future. Jill began the graphic design program in 2001 and around the same time launching her career of painting on large surfaces. She was quoted “one of our city’s premiere and most sought after Muralists.” Some of her mural work still exists on walls throughout the city. The last outdoors mural Jill completed was in 2006 approximately 50’ high by 90’ long and awarded mural of the Year for 2007. Jill then completed the Architectural drafting program in 2008 as well as the Graphic Communications in 2014 at Red River College with honors.
